RadioActive Flyer Design
I made a quick design for the upcoming ‘RadioActive’ Dance Party KCRW is presenting in downtown Los Angeles. I particularly enjoyed the challenge and think it came pretty well. Click on the image for a larger version. Event details below:

LRC Live
This coming Sunday at 5PM I’ll be working with Interactive Producer Rob Lafond to do a live webcast of Left, Right, and Center Live at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. We’ll be using Flash Media Live Encoder and Limelight Networks to stream live video via Flash Player. Check out KCRW.com Sunday to watch [...]
Comments for To The Point and Which Way LA
Finally launched the IntenseDebate commenting system on KCRW.com for two programs: To The Point and Which Way LA. The system is integrated with Plone so new “blogs” can be added to the CMS with an ID. Multiple users can moderate the discussion. Their generic install was easy to get up and running — was a [...]
Kyte.tv Mobile Content
A few months back I contacted Tesa from Kyte.com to find a way for volunteers during the KCRW pledge drive to interact with listeners. We setup a webcam streaming volunteer comments via branded Kyte player and received around 150,000 player hits in a week. Since then the station purchased Nokia N95 8gig phones to hand [...]

Guest DJ Art
The Guest DJ Art I designed was featured on NBC.com. Check out the audio sets at the KCRW guest DJ Page (including Conan O’Brien, John Favreau, Danny DeVito, etc) — The “mic” branding at top I designed early this year.
KCRW Media Player featured on Adobe
The Flash based media player we at KCRW and Digitaria worked so hard on was featured today in Adobe’s Customer Showcase as the “Site of the Day”
Previously mentioned in Wired and given a Webby honorable mention. The player serves up on-demand and live video through a CDN network. Ads and pre-rolls are served through Castfire.

E-Commerce Solutions
I’m sometimes asked by clients: whats the easiest most accessible ecommerce solution out there? The answer usually depends on budget, who they have to manage the online store (if anyone), and their product line.
For more customized self-hosted solutions I tend to go with Zen Cart. Its open source, there’s a ton of plugins, and an [...]

Wordpress
While researching the migration of all the KCRW blogs from Vox to a local install of Wordpress, I figured it would be a great idea to create my own blog. =)
Part of a larger SEO strategy for KCRW, I’m looking into moving our Vox hosted Left Right and Center, KCRW Music News, Good Food, etc. [...]
